Our history

The Wellington Branch of the Hearing Association, formerly the League for the Hard of Hearing, was formed in 1935 by Kathleen Hurd-Wood (pictured right).

A full account of the History of the Association up until its 60th Anniversary Year titled Breaking The Sound Barrier and written by Joan MacLean was published in 1995.
