Hearing Aid Subsidy Increased

22 May Budget Lifts Subsidy

The government subsidy for hearing aids for people aged 65 and over has been increased from $198 per aid to $500.
The President of the Wellington Hearing Association, John Alexander said today "a pair of basic level digital hearing aids will cost about $1800 and with audiology fees on top of that you are looking at $2500 for a pair.
