If you collect a pension, you may also be entitled to a Disability Allowance. This extra benefit is added to your pension to help with on-going medical expenses, and for hearing-aid wearers, this includes batteries, moulds and tubing – but not the aids themselves.

Get an application form from your local WINZ office, or call 0800 552 002 for information. You will need to fill out a form and have your doctor verify it.
