The Hearing Association offers a range of testing services in-house, utilising the latest in equipment operated by experienced professionals.

Hearing tests

Pure Tone Audiometric Testing carried out in our new Soundproof Room. This measures the ears responses to various sounds at different volumes. This enables our hearing advisors to compile a complete hearing response table known as an audiogram which gives an accurate measurement of your hearing ability.

We also do tests for occupational groups requiring annual checks such as commercial pilots.

Independent hearing needs assessment

Following a complete examination of your hearing ability we can sit down with you and evaluate your total hearing and communication requirements to meet your lifestyle needs.

We can advise where you can seek further professional help, if hearing aids or any special assistive hearing devices are required and we can also demonstrate alerting devices to keep you safe. We will also recommend any training you may require such as auditory training or speech reading.

Advisory and testing service for industry

Employers - we can provide hearing tests for your workers on a regular basis and give advice on noisy environments, and communication problems in the workplace.

Hearing loss prevention

We can offer advice on hearing loss prevention and we sell ear muffs and ear plugs to protect your hearing in noisy situations. Musicians call in and seek advice on ear plugs suited to your needs.
